    Islamophobia in Malaysia Survey

    ﺑﺳﻢﷲاﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦاﻟﺮﺣﻴﻢ

    Recently, i have been approached by my old friend in Facebook. He asked me if i willingly to help his friend whom is conducting a survey on Islamophobia for his Final Year Project (FYP). The title quite interesting then i agreed to help his friend.

    The survey questions consists of choices-of-answers questions and opinion-based questions.

    I knew that survey answers are confidential. However, since these answers are mine, i never mind to share a piece of my thought to my blog readers. Following are my opinions on given questions related to Islamophobia. I didn't include choices-of-answers questions in this entry.

    So, this time, the entry will be categorized as Survey Review, huh? ;)

    Islamophobia in Malaysia
    A research question for IACT College final semester work. *Required
      What is your opinion of this statement: In Malaysia, Islam equals to Malays. TRUE, FALSE or NOT SURE? TRUE. It's common that Malays are known to be Muslims since hundred years ago because most of the Malay kings embraced Islam when Arabic traders came to 'Tanah Melayu' for many purposes. However, nowadays, it is possible and believable that a Malay may not necessary a Muslim because of stronger influence of other religions, especially the Christian.

      • Are you aware of Syariah law? YES, NO or NOT SURE? 


          In your opinion, what would be the best way to prevent or stop Islamophobia? 
          It is the best that a Muslim him/herself be a true Muslim by being a good example and role model represents Islam teachings to the other people, Muslims and non-Muslims. For someone to be a good example and role model to the others, he/she shall follow Quran's guide & Muhammad SAW's sunnahs first. Never reply hate with hate/anger. When people hate you for whoever you are, just love them back.

          Do you believe that religious issues are hard to understand in Malaysia? TRUE, FALSE or NOT SURE? SOMETIME (TRUE & FALSE).
          There is some times that the Muslim scholars have arguments on what they learnt and believed to be the one and only truth, especially on Halal Haram issues and Akidah issues too. To be honest, Muslim Malaysian claimed that they are followers of Imam Syafi'e, however they are still doing what Imam Syafi'e had prohibited (based on hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW). For example, 'kenduri arwah'.

          Do you believe that religious issues are sensitive to Malaysians? TRUE, FALSE or NOT SURE? 



            In your opinion, what would the be the best way to stop Islamophobia?
